Well, Erin now speaks in many 2 word sentences but has just said her first 3 word sentence yesterday.... She said "More water please"!!! Yay! It is amazing how fast she is catching on to language and finally putting the words together so Mummy and Daddy can understand her a bit more. Erin likes to say a lot of things by using her colors, which she knows all of them very well. Most times it is "blue bowl, orange cup..." and so forth. We are so proud of her! Erin also loves to sing... her favorite songs right now are "happy, happy, happy, happy...." ever since her birthday party... those are the only words she can make out in the song...haha! And she heard Daddy say "okey dokey" last week and now she keeps repeating and repeating it...again, really quite funny! Erin has quite the little personality these days... always seems to keep us laughing and smiling!
The potty training is back in full force and Erin seems to be doing great!!! We keep her in panties all day unless we have to go out to the store or such. She is also very good at telling Mummy she has to go pee or poop and then races off to the bathroom. I am soooo happy she is back in this mode... I thought for a while that she was going to be 6 by the time she is trained! So it is nice not to have to buy diapers sooo often :) Again... we are soooo proud of her!!!
Oh yes, almost forgot to mention Erin's first official visit to the dentist on monday.... didn't go very well. I was hoping Erin would be good since our good friend Jen (who lives down the street and we see quite often) is a dental assistant there.... thought that Erin might feel more comfortable with Jen but it's like Erin changes into a completely different girl! She wouldn't let anyone look in her mouth except me. Erin did enjoy the ride up and down in the chair and her little baby getting her teeth checked but that was all that was going to happen! Oh well, good thing Mummy knows what to look and check for and is good at brushing and flossing Erin's little teeth. Erin's last 2 molar's (5's in dental terms) are just starting to come in this week... so far they haven't seemed to bother Erin too much except for when we are brushing. Well, that is all for now....

Playdate
Yesterday we met a couple of moms and their little ones in Edmonton that we haven't seen in over a year! Erin had a great time playing with Hannah and Jayce and meeting all their new little siblings. Hannah has 6 month old twin sisters and Jayce is a big brother to 4 month old Matty. Needless to say it was a busy house yesterday, but not too much fighting, which was good :) It was pretty amazing to see the kids all grown up... seems like yesterday we were all brand new moms just getting to know each other. Now the kids can all talk, run and have their own little personalities. Sorry no pictures...forgot my camera... I know I am kicking myself for it.....

Always making us laugh...
Everyday, Erin has something new to say each day. A few days ago, we went to Old Navy and they happened to have their Halloween stuff out... so Erin and I decided to take a peek at the costumes. Erin decided that the cute little chicken outfit was the one she wanted. So once we got home, we had to try it on and show Daddy. Well it was just after supper and Erin was running around the house flapping her arms and saying "bock, bock". It was hilarious... wish we would have had the video camera on. No pics for right now, it's a surprise until October 31st! The costume looks very warm so it should be good for the usual cool, snowy Halloween night :)

Camping at Willey West
Well, another fun camping trip but the weather sure has cooled off this month! We only had one morning of rain, which was not too bad considering all the forecasts :) We had a great time visiting with Gramma and Papa Evans as well as the Beaulieu family! Erin loves playing with Chelsey, Rachel and Ian! We had some good walks, playing at the park, throwing rocks into the river and just good company! It was all lots of fun except Mummy came home with a very bad cold... so hopefully the little munchkin doesn't catch it.... it sure is hard not to kiss her!!! Erin has surprised us again with her speaking.... she can know say Rachel, Chelsey and Ian very well....it was super cute because she would always be calling the kids to come play! Just too cute! Well, here are a few pics from our trip... Oh I forgot to mention how much Erin loved picking and eating the raspberries at the campground... they were everywhere!!

The Big Birthday Party!

Wow... What a weekend! We had a big birthday bash for Erin's 2nd birthday yesterday. First of all we want to say thanks to everyone for coming, as well as for all the gifts! Erin is a very lucky girl! We had a wonderful visit with Grandma and Grandpa Lowe, and Gramma and "Papa" Evans... as well as Granny and Nana..... all made the big trip from GP! Thanks again! Erin must be a very special girl for everyone to travel from soooo far away :) We also had Auntie Janice and Uncle Mark, Auntie Kathleen and Auntie Margo! It was a packed house, full of food (deep fried turkey) as well as great company! The only thing was the weather did not want to cooperate with us... so no playing in the yard or late night campfire... oh well... I guess the cold weather was going to arrive sometime.. Actually the day Erin was born, I believe it was raining and about 10 degrees out!!! Not very nice weather for mid August...
I just wanted to post some pics of the party and Erin had a blast as you will see :) Erin loved the balloons, all her books and new toy trucks... not to mention her new little shopping cart and stroller for her baby... Erin and Auntie Janice had a lot of fun pushing the carts around all night.... literally all night! I think Auntie Janice's back was hurting a bit by the end of the night... time for a massage!! Erin also got a dishes & tea set from Grandma and Grandpa Lowe that will go with her new little table & chair set that should arrive soon... I know she will have a blast with her own little table! Will post more pics when it arrives. Oh, I almost forgot about Erin's new little band toys, from Auntie J and Uncle M... Ya, thanks guys, wait until you have kids.... :) No just kidding.... Erin loves her little drums, bells and such... we had a good little "Lowe" band jamming on saturday night...
Well, enough chat.... time for suppper... Mmmmm leftover turkey bunwiches!! Oh, I almost forgot... I made Erin a special cake... a Dora one! It only took Mummy about 6 hours to make but it was worth the smile on Erin's face :)

Erin's 2nd Birthday!!
Wow! Time flies by fast!!! I can't believe that 2 years ago, we were in the hospital with our brand new baby girl! Well, Erin has grown sooooo much since then.... She is now talking, walking...or I guess I should say running all over the place now. Her little personality comes out everyday and she seems to crack us up at least a few times each day! Erin is such a fun age right now... well, it is also a challenging one too... don't get me wrong... I know you all think she is an little angel 24/7 but she does has some moments. The time-outs have really been working well and she tells us she is sorry after. So maybe Supernanny knows what she is talking about??? Bedtime routines are sometimes a little rough but we now have a great routine going and like to stick to the schedule. If it runs a little off due to travelling it takes a few days to get back, but generally not too bad. Although we kick ourselves for letting her get off schedule, because we pay the consequence :)
Well, we had a great day making cupcakes this morning and playing in the water in the afternoon since it was a nice day. Got birthday wishes from the grandparents and are getting excited about the big birthday bash on saturday! We can't wait to see everyone, and hopefully the weather turns out nice too! I will post some new pics as soon as I can...

Fun times in PG
Hard to believe that it is August already and someone will be turning 2 next week! I just wanted to share some pictures of our fabulous time at Al and Shirley Tofsrud's beautiful home in PG for Mark and Janice's "Open house". It was a long trip but it was a beautiful one, plus towing Grampa Evans trailer behind us was fabulous! Nothing like having a nice portable toilet with you at all times :) We had a wonderful time full of good food, great company and even got to see some horses and Sweetpea (she is a donkey). Erin loved to feed the animals lots of treats and now can't stop talking about Sweetpea!! It's too cute! We also got to participate in some games of horseshoes, which was lots of fun... although I think I need some practice :) We also got to visit with Auntie Sharona for a few hours in between her study breaks (she is just finishing her 3rd year of medicine). Auntie Sharona bought Erin a little toy doctor kit, which is too cute and even comes with a pager!! It is now one of Erin's favortie toys! Thanks Auntie Sharona!!!
